When Pestilence accidentally kills Death, the whole world stops. The people of Earth become immortal, and it is up to the remaining three horsemen to track down a replacement Death. They think they have found one when they discover the last person on Death's list, but training a new Death is more difficult than it sounds.

Mary Beringer (she/they) [Playwright] is a playwright currently working in the nonprofit space in Southwest Ohio. After working as a high school English teacher, she then became a full-time grant writer. Her plays have been featured at the Know Theatre of Cincinnati, the University of Dayton's Studio Theatre, and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. She enjoys acting in local theatre and being involved in her local queer community. Most of her plays feature queer or feminist themes, and she enjoys taking inspiration from historical works that were written by men, and reimagining them in her own voice.

Gregory Procaccino (he/him) [Director] Greg’s Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park credits include A Christmas Carol (1991-2018), The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial (1996) and Romeo and Juliet (1978). Off-Broadway, he appeared in Second Chance. His regional credits include theatres such as Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati and theatres in Washington D.C., Maryland, Virginia, Kentucky, California and Ohio. On television and in film, he has appeared in The Greater Good (2006 FAIF Film Festival award winner), Heartburn, Best Friends, A Mom for Christmas, This Train, Little Man Tate, Crossing Fields, Milk Money, Murphy Brown, Hawk, Tanner ’88 (as a regular) and 2004’s Tanner on Tanner. He was nominated for an Emmy Award in 1990. Greg has directed over 20 stage productions in and around the Cincinnati area. He was the director of Theater at TMU for 8 years.

L Prophater (they/them) [Stage Manager] L is excited to once again be joining Cincinnati Lab Theaters as a Stage Manager for Four Horses! They have worked at LAB in five previous shows, including as Rodriguez during the reading of My Mother the Serial Killer and as a stage manager for The Relationship Plays. They also stage managed Castaways for the 2024 Cincinnati Fringe Festival. They would like to thank Lab Theaters for this opportunity and their family and friends for their continued support!

Torie Pate (she/her) [Pestilence] Torie Pate is an actor, singer, director, and teaching artist. She became the Education Director for Cincinnati LAB Theatre in 2020 & took on the role of Co-Artistic Director in 2021. Torie has been with LAB since 2017, when she performed in Led Thespian (in Cincinnati and at the 2018 Edinburgh Fringe). Other LAB credits include Zelda & Hadley: Together At Last (Hadley Richardson) in Cincinnati & 2024 Edinburgh Fringe Festival; The Relationship Plays (director) Cincinnati & 2023 Edinburgh Fringe Festival; Married Life (director); The Philosophy of Cavemen (director) Cincinnati & 2022 Edinburgh Fringe Festival; Pirouette (Judith); Why Good Things Happen to Bad People (Yolanda); Dog (director); Four Horses (Pestilence) at the 2021 & 2025 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Torie has a BA in Theatre from The University of Dayton, and has been a professional theatre artist for over 20 years having performed with such companies as The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati, Cincinnati Landmark Productions, The Carnegie, The Falcon Theatre, The Drama Workshop, and The Powel Crosley Theatre in Sarasota, FL. Torie is also a teaching artist (drama and visual art) with the Carnegie Visual and Performing Arts Center in Covington.

Eric Kilpatrick (he/him) [War] Eric Kilpatrick is a Cincinnati native who has been involved in the local theatre scene since he was 10 years old. Eric joined Cincinnati LAB Theatre in 2018 when he debuted in their production of the original musical "LED Thespian" and has since performed in "A Funny Play for Troubled Times", "Four Horses", and "Shirt. Brown. Honesty." He also participated in the public readings of "Dog", "Parallel Walls", "Of Dudes and Nudes" and "Eden 2.0". Other recent credits include; "The Odd Couple" (Felix) at the Covedale Center for the Performing Arts as well as "Outside Mullingar" (Anthony), and "Port Authority" (Kevin) with The Irish Heritage Theater Company of Cincinnati. When Eric's not in the LAB, you can usually find him drawing, playing music, and hanging out with his fiancée Erin and their 3 cats.

Alexa Glaser (she/her) [Famine] Alexa Glaser holds a B.A. in Theatre from Butler University and has studied with the Sanford Meisner Center (LA) and Second City (Chicago). Some of her favorite credits include: Bailey in Cincinnati LAB Theatre’s production of Dog, Matty in Cincinnati LAB Theatre’s production of The Hired Man, Betta in New Edgecliff Theatre's production of A Soldier's Christmas, and Samantha in EFO Films Marauders.

Robert Allen (he/him) [Death] Bob Allen was in the premiere Lab production; "Buckeye" and in the later production of the same; retitled "Daughter of War". He has acted and directed subsequent Lab productions including "Gay Divorce", "LED Thespian", "A Ghost of a Chance", "Four Horses", "The Hired Man" and others. He has been directly involved in all other LAB productions as Producer and Artistic Director. He has also been with Lab in Scotland for all its Edinburgh Fringe Festival productions. He is the co- creator and former Chair of the Certificate Acting Program in the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music's Preparatory Department. Bob is currently teaching in the Northern Kentucky University 's School of the Arts (SOTA). He has been working in theater, television and film for more than 50 years now. His credits would be too numerous to list. Some of his most recent work outside LAB includes: "A Man For All Seasons", "Julius Caesar", "Oedipus the King", "White Christmas" in and directing the First Year Show at NKU.

Elizabeth A Harris (she/her) [Alex] Elizabeth A. Harris is the executive director and co-founder of Cincinnati LAB Theatre. She has been a working theatre professional and educator for 33 years. Elizabeth holds a B.A. in Acting and a M.A. in Theatre with an emphasis in Directing from Morehead State University. She also has a M.F.A. in Playwrighting from Spalding University. Elizabeth recently achieved her Doctor of Education in Leadership from Spalding University. Elizabeth has had her plays produced in Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, and Atlanta. Her full-length play Daughter of War, previously Buckeye, opened with Cincinnati LAB Theatre October 28, 2021 and was LAB Theatre’s first New Works production in 2014. In the past Elizabeth has taught acting and directing at Northern Kentucky University and University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. Currently she is theatre faculty at St. Xavier High School and the Co-Director of Theatre Xavier. She lives in Cincinnati with her constant companion and best friend, Charlie the Dog.

Elliot Handkins (he/him) [Homeless Man] Elliot is a graduate of NKU with a B.F.A. in Acting and is typically seen in local productions around the tri-state area. He has been performing since the second grade, when he sang "I Won't Grow Up" with his triplet siblings in a talent show. He most recently performed in The Stands at last year's festival, and has also worked on various other LAB productions including Of Dudes and Nudes, Shirt. Brown. Honesty., and Four Horses. Some favorite credits outside of LAB include The Last Five Years (Jaime), The Graduate (Benjamin), Bob Gaudio (Jersey Boys), and Love, Sex, and the IRS (Leslie). A lover of discoveries, working with LAB fulfills a part of him that most of his theatre exploits are unable to fill.
